How to write down your lesson plan - Aims?

 In the name of Allah the Most Gracious the Ever Merciful

As a continuous work, Mrs Jehan Ashour the DSP has continued what had been started last week in developing the English Teachers in planning their lessons.

 

The trainer has brainstormed the participants in more than  6 ( what ) questions started with what is aim? What are the good aim characteristics? What thing do we focus on when we plan?

Before writing down the aim, we need to decide the prior knowledge of the students and what do they need to know, e.g. new language and new structure.  

 

By the end of the session, the trainer surveyed what new knowledge the trainees got today and what verbs should be used and not used when we write down our aims.

Meeting 1: Lesson Plan: Imporatance and relationship with other components

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious the Ever Merciful

 

 

School principal and Deputy School principal have planned to meet the English teachers team at least 10 times during term 1 of the scholastic year. This is because most of them are newly appointed teachers and therefore it is important to develop them using new techniques and strategies to help the teachers adopt the idea of lesson plan.

The teachers were very helpful and felt so eager for further discussions

Many strategies were used during the one hour meeting which were:

brainstorming

gathering ideas

comparison

clarification and identification

and

discussing

The English teachers team thanked the school principal and her deputy for the highly appreciated cooperation.
